UTILCELL AND UPC, TOGETHER FOR ANOTHER YEAR AT THE EUROPEAN ROVER CHALLENGE
16/10/2025 - At UTILCELL, we are proud to have collaborated once again with the UPC (Polytechnic University of Catalonia) Space Program, supporting the GRASS team in their participation in the European Rover Challenge (ERC) 2025, held in Krakow, Poland. This international competition is a benchmark in the aerospace and robotics sectors, attracting students, engineers, and companies from around the world.
The team competed against more than 100 teams from over thirty countries, reaching the final stage and achieving 20th place. Their rover, GAIA II, successfully completed various tests, including autonomous and manual navigation, robotic arm manipulation, photography, and environmental data collection.
UTILCELL contributed by providing our most suitable load cells and weighing electronics for the project’s needs. Thanks to our technology, the team was able to measure weights with precision and accuracy, which was a key factor in the rover’s performance during the competition.
We would like to congratulate the UPC Space Program team for their outstanding work and dedication, thank them for their trust in us, and we hope this collaboration continues in the future, reaching new goals together in upcoming challenges.
This collaboration reflects UTILCELL's commitment to technological innovation and supporting young talent in the fields of robotics and space exploration.
